Are you are tired of being bounced, ejected, teleported with no warning?

Please sign this petition to have these scripts removed from the game.

Most definitely signed.

However, you don't call them the right thing - they are GRIEFER SCRIPTS when there is no warning that they are even there.

Jadon, I think what you are really asking for is to have certain scripting language features removed from the LSL. Unfortunately the language features which make these obnxious scripts possible are useful for a great many good things too. I share your frustration with overzealous security scripts and encourage you to abuse report when appropriate. But the wholesale removal of these kinds of scripts is a bit beyond what Linden Lab would be willing to do (and this is really a good thing, not a bad thing).

My idea was that the Lindens delete any alarm scripts in the game that do not "force" a warning option. I see many scripts that offer a warning option. However, the user ends up doing the "no warning" option since it is available. This needs to be better enforced to the point of sale. If someone is caught with using, selling, making or giving a no warning alarm script, the creater should have that script deleted from inventory and enforcement delt out by the Lindens, warning, ban, public flogging, etc.

By a no warning alarm script, I am referring to any alarm script that does not force a 15 second warning.

Push for inteligent users, not nerfing LSL or draconian deletion-police.

It's spelled intelligent. :)

As for the no push response, this was not meant as a debate. If you would read my post, this is teleporting and more with no warning which according to the Live Help there is supposed to be a 15 second warning. The majority of the time, there is no warning and people are sent flying across the SIM.

This post is meant as a petition to STOP no warning alarm scripts. If want you to debate this issue, please create your own topic. Thank you

I don't see a 15 second warning listed in the TOS, Jarod. Until its there live help can't enforce it or do anything with it without being reprimanded when the landowner files a report.

Edit: If you want me to make another thread, deal with it. I respond here.

One of the most comprehensive writings on the suggested guidelines of security scripts would be this doc by Lee, for anyone who's curious.

That's a wish list, not a list of requirements. If someone makes that security script, I'll be sure to recommend it!

this is the important part for those trying to get scripts banned

I should think LiveHelp said 15 seconds would be a reasonable amount of time, however, afaik, theres nothing stopping people teleporting agents home immediatly.

I gently suggest the reading of this thread for a recent fairly clear debate on this issue, with quite a few very good posts pro and con, along with the really useful bit, hammering out a balance between privacy and free travel.

I politely request than any posts to that thread be carefully considered, and devoid of flamage. Thank you ever so much :)

I Have To Agree

I am sorry but i have to agree with Jadon i was bounced and tp home so many times with out no warning and we could be way up in the air over there heads and still get it and end up somewhere else or in another sims to tped home so i do agree they do need to give the 15sec warnings.
