Does Second Life offers some people a better life than real life does?

Do you think there should be a kind of police or law enforcement in Second Life?

Do you make money in Second Life, and Should one pay taxes in Second Life?

Should one in real life NOT pay taxes over profits made in Second Life

Do you think Second Life is more than a GAME?

these are the type of questions i answered on an
"INHABITANT SURVEY" ON SL MEMBERS & ABOUT SL
when asked by SL Member Wild Winger

Wild approached me the other day and asked
if i would take a few moments to fill out the Survey

all i had to do was click the ball over her head
which opened my browser up to the Survey's location

i answered EVERY question and item on EACH page
in order to proceed on to the next page.

SHE REPRESENTS THE EPN - a Dutch non-profit foundation
that functions as a Centre of Knowledge regarding the
influence of the use of ICT in society

THEY COLLECT INFORMATION that provide more insight
in new developments in which ICT plays a central role
AS IN THE CASE WITH SECOND LIFE

THEIR PARTAICIPANTS INCLUDE representatives of
companies, politics, governments, universities
and consumers and employees organisations
(SEE www.epn.net)

Filling out this Survey takes about 15 minutes

CONTACT WILD WINGER ... or go to the link below to fill out the Survey

http://www.witlab.nl/phpesp/public/
survey.php?name=Second_Life_Survey

***copy and paste the full 2 LINED website addy onto your browser*** ...
WITH *NO SPACES*

PARTICIPATE IN THIS SURVEY THEN ADD YOUR COMMENTS
HERE ABOUT THE SURVEY OR ANY OF ITS QUESTIONS

NOTE:

i did not ask Wild Winger if SL knows about this SURVEY
or would approve of it if they did ...

furthur ... i have no idea whether SL is fostering this Survey in some way,
or would respond to any of its results one way or another

for me, it seemed interesting and simple enuf to oblige
Wild Winger's request to take a moment to fill out the Survey,
as some of the questions in the survey, i do have very strong
personal views about.

Hi All,

Thank you Arsenic for posting the surveylink on the forum here.
Linden Lab knows about this survey and approves by the way.

I'd really be grateful if people would fill it out. Don't know if there are more surveys like this, if anyone knows, please tell me.

Hope to see your results!

Regards,
Wild

NB: IM me anytime if you can't find the survey, a question isn't clear to you or when something might go wrong...

I went to the page, and had a look at a few of the questions. A lot of them, the only answer I'd like to give is "none of your business". I'd like to give answers to some of the questions, but others I regard as private data, especially as you collect uniquely identifying information from respondants.

Taxes / none of your business...

Hi,

Still I hope you will fill out the survey. The tax-thing: its a survey about how people feel about taxes, not if it will or has to be a feature.

About the none of you business-thing: I get lost of positive reactions also by people filling out the survey. And as said, the results will stay anonymus.

Thanks for you time and effort pointing me to the tax and the privacy issues though.

Wild

I could not complete this survey because I could not answer a question about where I live. Here are the options:

in the USA
in Europe
in Asia
in South America
in Africa
in Australia / New Zealand

Whoever wrote the survey should know that there are other countries in North America, including one substantially bigger than the U.S. Surprised they missed it. Then again, we're awfully polite and don't make much noise up here, so it's possible we were just overlooked.

Heh. Residents of the Detroit vicinity just call pretty much anything north of Eight Mile "up north". :p You're part of the upper peninsula, no?

URL not opening
08-08-2006 00:29
Did you copy the whole link into your browser? Because this forum does not accept me to post the rest of the URL being: phpesp/public/survey.php?name=Second_Life_Survey after the domain name.

So the right URL should be: http://www.witlab.nl AND THEN phpesp/public/survey.php?name=Second_Life_Survey directly behind it.

Regards,
Wild

Sorry for all the people living in North America north or south of the USA. PLease fill out USA though, and in the comment at the end you could correct that.
