Far to many people are being abused within the family and its going unnoticed and not talked about.
Some are ashamed some are scared to talk about it and some just dont know where to look for the answers and help.
I have started a group to help those that are in need that play second life called Advocates for Family Safety.. Its open for all to join.and no fees .
Did you know that 2 out of 10 people in the US are in an abusive situation at home.. with noone to help them?
Is it that far a stretch to believe that some of those people play Second life?
No its not and some could be your best freinds.
Do you know that Family Voilence can kill and has killed?
It effects us all.. the children, Mothers . Fathers Brothers and Sisters. It effects our future .. our very lives!
Please think about the many grave stones that have the names of family members that have been killed by other family members.
In the news we hear about gang banging and drive by shootings and very seldom do we hear about the abuse at home. The lives lost because the victim was scared and feared talking.
We need to shed some light on this topic and get it out there for poeple to hear. Most of all those that are able to help should help.. not only are you helping save a live... but you are also helping your own future. and the future of your own children.
I urge you to step foward and be part of the solution to this very devastating problem. Join this group in Second life and give someone the tools to save themselves and their children
you may ask .. How can I help" well if you have been a victim of this type of abuse... you may beable to be a support to somone that is going thru what you went thru. Or maybe help them look for places In their area that have shelters. The point is . there are many ways you can help.
I will be looking for radio stream to where I can boardcast live from Second life and hold talks and meertings.. those that want to help are also welcomed to be a quest speaker at these meetings. Anyone that wants to work side by side with me in this. please IM me in game.
