Another "Army" next door

Okies, so here I am, minding my own business working on my own land in Bragg, when all of a sudden my home (just bought) and entire mountain get blown up! I land in no man's land and checked my Abuse information. I had been hit with a script! I sent in an AR immediately along with a picture. When I double clicked on the map and get tp'd to a different spot, my poor lil avie was laying in a pool of blood.

Seems like we have new neighbors in Shelter - Soviet Union Army Navy. A member from there was responsible for what happened to me. I looked up the person in question, but from his profile, I believe there would be no apologies forthcoming. At least the AN have been careful in keeping their bombs and such on their own land.

Now ya'll, I don't care if ya'll blow yourselves to smithereens every day of the week, but attacking innocent bystanders in a different sim is another matter. If you're 'testing' a product, make sure there is no one in your fallout area.

Ok, think possible that mountain didn't blow up, just my view of everything when I was blown up, lol.

No call for that kind of behavior . Its one thing to have fun against willing participants but totally uncalled for .

All the reputable military groups have strict rules about not doing anything to anyone not involved as far as I've seen.

Assuming they are a reputable group, what you want to do is report the incident to a group officer... let whoever it was get bawled out by their CO....

It's a pain.

Here I am trying to start a covert ops team, and looking at these other 'armies', if I tried get into an actual combat scenario (using 'realistic' weapons) it would last all of ten seconds until someone dipshit orbits the entire sim to be a jerk.

We're making contingency preperations for jackasses and would be more than happy to sell them when they are completed.

Like I say, everyone is there to have fun, just need to watch that 'our' fun doesn't step on someone else's. Be responsible for own actions.

I have talked to the leader of the AN and he seemed to me to be an honorable person. At least regarding where our properties meet and what his group members do on our land now.

I will check and see who is the leader of the SU next time I'm in SL and send him a message - I just hope it wasn't the one that blew me up. lol

Don't get me wrong, I love playing with the swords and such with my friends - just ask my partner how many times I've killed him lol..(or he's killed me!)... its just, what we were doing was mutual.

I was lagging so bad that I had to relog, even rebooted my computer. Now I cannot get into SL at all. Have had the log in screen for several minutes, even retried. No go. If I cannot get in soon, I'll have to write or call support. Now this is where being hit when minding own business bites.

Well, that's the trick. We give away the jackasses for free (as does LL), but we gouge you on the price of the Orbit/Off-World/Disconnect hardware that detects and kicks in reactively to you being attacked. You don't have to be quick in the draw, but the dumbasses might want to be quick on the logout.
