I'm just now listening to it, so I don't know what's mentioned, but the description says Second Life is one of the topics.

Hehe... the show notes says Leo registered for Second Life under the name Pruneface Spatula.
(NOTE - I am not divulging secret or private information -- Leo revealed on his website his SL name.) _____________________

Universal Binary?
04-11-2006 10:04
One question that came up during the podcast was whether or not there is a "universal binary" SL client for the new Intel Macs. Can someone answer that?
(I suspect there isn't one yet, but is LL working on one?) |

There's actually an SL forum just for it: /276/1.html And general Mac SL discussion here: /164/1.html _____________________

microsoft island

just caught it - interesting that Robert Scoble (one of the most well know bloggers - http://scoble.weblogs.com/ - and works for Microsoft) was the one talking about.
He mentioned Microsoft had purchased an Island which is interesting. I think I heard "eric rice island - slack street" - I'll have to see if it exists next time on line. Found this link on his blog: http://scobleizer.wordpress.com/2006/03/27/second-life-is-an-os/ |

BTW, they also talked about SL in TWIT #50. But somehow they seemed not that informed.. (like they didn't know the role of Mitch Kapor etc. If I am going to speak about it I'd also try to gather some information beforehand and not looking it up during the show
![]() They also noted that SL might also become bad press at some point as myspace was getting. They forgot to mention though that there's a teen grid. So if I wouldn't know SL myself I would not be very informed by then actually ![]() (but that seems to be the case with media most often anyway..) |
