Link between rude behavior and land shopping?

About an hour ago I had the following IM exchange:

<name elided>: I was into buying land here in igbo then theres this massive ugly thing going to the sky in the lot next to it
Jessica Qin: well -- it's a good thing you saw it first before you bought, then, isn't it?
<name elided>: How could I not see it its like a damn over sized dog crap
Jessica Qin: muted

That's the entire, unexpurgated (except for the name) thing. Weird. Even weirder, <name elided> isn't new to SL and has in fact been here for over a year.

I guess I'm just tossing this out here for comment -- anybody else ever get (or give) "DIE" as the first word of an IM?

You'll get that kind of thing every now and again. Just smile and ignore. I wouldn't think too much about it.

Yup. I seem to attract drama. I build a tree, get a 80 meter tall wall because it's a 'horrible eyesore'. Get too busy to play for a while due to business needs, get accused of being insensitive. Shoot someone in cold blood for the change in their pocket, get a cheering section of idiots who think it's 'cool'...

It's a madhouse here, and it's run by the inmates. I'm used to it...

This is exactly why I like people who aren't yet familiar with what I do to ask questions... so I can ask questions back, and we can learn about each other.

If I saw some bizarre phenomenon on someone's land I didn't understand, I'd want to strike up a convo and find out more about it. The curiosity compels me to understand.
