I think its a neat idea, instead of dumping it all on the lindens, make residents answer questions
Then have a "Linden" answers, where only the lindens can answer.. like "Hard questions" lol
just a thought
So it would be open to all residents

I noticed yahoo made a "Yahoo answer" where users ask questions and other users respond.

It's called 'General Topics' here. Well most 'general topics' in this forum is full of drama, and not really a "question" forum Plus they move offtopic conversations.. and usually questions in the general forums usually sink to the bottom, but drama related topics usually stay in the top _____________________

Now this is not only thought-provoking, but good... on the topic of "Answers", several things converge:
I like the idea of a Google/Yahoo!/(er what other sites are there?) Answers, especially one which is very friendly for new Resis. It's been asked before if we can have a "Welcome forum" of sorts. However, as it is in these forums, the search is not very good (3-letter words often can't be looked for, neither can common words like "land", "Linden", "money", etc.) and it's hard to find things. I also think in the way of distributing info, what's pointed to: Residents helping Residents. This was actually an original intent behind SL Answers, but the current archives can't be "mined" that easily due to search as I mentioned. Too much info, not easy enough to look for it. But, we'll work on this! We do have a Google sitesearch now on most pages of the website which searches secondlife.com including the wiki. Some things are coming together. _____________________

It would be nice if the OP could reply, at least Yeah, this has come up too--the thing is, with questions that are of broad interest to the community, as both of us know, there's often useful info which *another* Resident who isn't the OP could and infact should provide. Like "OMG GOTTA STUFF THAT IN, THAT'S USEFUL TO KNOW!" And that gets us back to "everyone can reply"! _____________________
