If you are talking SL politics, probably not.

If you are talking RL politics, then you're better off having the thread in the Off-Topic section, if at all.

No, but you probably won't get a discussion without having it degenerate into eye poking and nuggies, so be prepared to have a thread closure.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Also? What other thread got deleted? I see one of your threads was recently moved to off-topic (where it belonged), is that what you're refering to?

Not quite ;)

If anyone cares, it's ultimatly derived from the greek word "polis", which means city. The word originated, I believe, with Aristotle's "Ethics", of which "Politics" was the... First? volume.

Not that anyone cares. :D

I don't know if polis originated from the Nichomachean Ethics. Polis was the word for a city-state in Greece in which the center was the Areopagus. Been a while since I learned all that though.

Yeah, I'm not *positive* about where it came from, although I'm fairly certain it was Aristotle. And no, he didn't come up with "polis", but rather "politics".
