What changed from 1.10 to Current to make it slower

Well i was happy with how 1.10 was working out with the graphic,
things sped up and i have older hardware, was getting good
around 15 to 30fps with 1.10 suddenly i was happy reminded me
of when SL had speed still back when, But with this new update
everythings gone below, What did the Dev disable/enable from 1.10
to 1.11 cause its definatly not said anywhere.


Just a curious thought, cause i know im not the only one that
noticed the speed increase in 1.10, quite a few folks ive talked
to enjoyed that little increase.

I to have noticed more lag in the latest update. Also, textures are taking forever to to rez now. I increased my memory after the 1.10 update and SL was running lovely for me, but now it's worse than ever. That doubled with all the freaking down time we are having *during GMT, I might add* I'm really not happy at the mo.

I sincerely hope we don't see 1.12 until ALL bugs are fixed.

Same here.

Overall, 1.10 felt a lot zippier than the 1.9.X series. I was quite pleased with how the updates were heading.

And then every subsequent update since the original two 1.10 ones started to cause a slip of framerates. In places where I was getting 40 FPS, I would only get 15 FPS. Others, 15 FPS (heavy with AVs) was dropping to less than 5 FPS in some cases.

No changes to my system; No changes to hardware, drivers, internet connection, and so on.

i hear you.. places in 1.10 were getting nice FPS some places even toped at 30+ FPS and thats pretty good for an older Geforce 6200 with 256m DDR on it...

I'm pretty sure the LOD was set high for me after the update, when before it was set at the middle by default.

Me too, though I thought for the first time it had actually remembered my settings. Previous updates had always reset the quality sliders back to the central position so I can't tell if it's that or if it's using different criterior to determine optimum settings.

Everything worked fine for me before 1.11. Now I'm lagging, crashing, and freezing pretty much constantly.

Last night I froze in the middle of a class and it was about 10 minutes before
I even realized it. I kept working away, only to finally notice that no one was moving and one AV was still "typing" after 10 minutes. Cost me a whole section in the class.

I literally can't go a whole hour anymore in SL without freezing or crashing.

I've been expereiencing similar issues as well as getting stuck right after a TP or right when landing after flying, I seem to get stuck in a silly run animation and I can't move, I have to log out of the client and log on sometimes several times before I'm Un-stuck.

Other issue's I've run into:

Spontanious reboot when entering a totally empty sim.

Video blacking out for no apparent reason (need to reboot to get video back)

And this is only with Second Life, I've tried playing other games, and I've only experienced these issues within SL.

I noticed that, for some reason, bump maps have spontaneously started working on my system.
