Question about telehub land auctions

During the discussions of land buyback, several people have asserted that Linden Lab sold the sims at higher prices with a telehub in them. I have never seen any evidence to back up that fact. Did telelhub land auctions start above the $1,000 opening price of other auctions? If so, what price did they start at?

I too, have asked that this assertion be backed up, only to be met with silence. That doesn't prove that those claiming this are wrong, but I do find the silence interesting.

My best guess is that the claim centers on the fact that these claimants think that LL, by virtue of their silence while the bidding raged ever higher, was tacitly agreeing that the Hubs made the land more valuable because they knew that this was what drove the price of these sims higher. Couple this with the concept that LL did this concurrent to working on the demise of the Hubs would indicate fraud.

NOTICE: I am not making this claim. This is just the best I can frame that particular point of view. Anyone...feel free to correct me.

I bid on several that started at $1000 USD.

I find it curious myself why it is so hard to get a direct answer to this question.

You expect a straight answer from ::? Did some noob buy your account so they wouldn't have to level up on their own?

I did the next best thing... I stopped worrying too much about it.. I have enough to get pissed off about in the real world.

I never saw an auction start above price - I never saw linden land start at a higher fee - 'Telehub Land' never meant shit until people started touting it as being important.

The only 2 things that were above average at a telehub plot that I ever saw were price of sale and lag... Personally I'm willing accept the decision because it means I won't be forced into tporting into a 3fps crapfactory for a while (I'd say 'ever again' but teleporting was here in 1.0 - and what god giveth - he can also taketh away).

I'm not trying to minimalise the argument - I personally think the whole thing was a totally boneheaded thing to do - but honestly - I think all there is left worth doing is to stop the bonehead-bandwagon jumping on to get their free $$$.

This tarded maneuver is done - gone - decided... all you can try and do is try and stop the next one.. and trust me - the jackals are already coming out of the woods.

Siggy.

I'm not trying to stop it - what is done is done. I just saw repeated statements about what Linden lab supposedly did, and I was curious since I could not find any answer to that question.
