On log-in, I was given an object called 'Beltane/Sabbat ritual dance invite - REZ FOR INFO!' from someone I'm pretty sure I don't know... I immediately crashed on accepting it, and instantly forgot what the name of the person who gave it to me was... looking at properties, under creator it says '(nobody)'.

This is prolly just me being paranoid... but after all the craziness of today... I'm not really wanting to rez the thing. Any thoughts?

IM a Linden, Tell them about it. Maybe they will want you to pass it to them so they can rez it in a safe zone.

More likely they will tell you to delete it

Just delete it, or, take a screenshot of the pertinent properties, then delete it, or leave it around in case you want to show it to a Linden, or wait till the grid gets back up, then rez it and find that it is a grid crasher and crash the grid and be reviled by a lot people and get in trouble.

I don't really recommend the last choice.

It's really odd. I got a message saying that I was being logged in froma nother location and that I couldn't log in until 1 minute from then. Very strange. Not to mention that it took 5 minutes to even get that message in the first place.

Check your groups. Are you a member of one of the various SL Pagan groups? I'll bet ten Linden Dollars you are.

One of the groups gives out their invites to group events via objects that give the owner a notecard upon rez. The crash was prolly unrelated to the object, or might have been an asset server difficulty. I've been given the same objects myself, they're harmless in my experience. Unless you're not a member of any of the Pagan groups and someone is spoofing their objects... o.O

That means that one of your earlier logins was successful but still being processed, then you hit quit before the process finished.

Happened to me many times already. Nothing serious.

I recieved exactly the same item 2 days ago and it's been sitting in my inventory cos I've been so busy on a project that i haven't had time to even look at the thing. And I'm not a member of any pagan groups at the moment...

Just checked the item in (from inside my inventory) question and it says created by (nobody). ... Who ever passed it around doesn't want to be tracked.

If you want to try, go to a "no scripts" zone where building is alowed... There you should be able to rez the object without danger of bad things happening to you.

If you have permissions on the object, grab its UUID and give that to a linden.

I'd just go to a no script area (Newcomb Sandbox) and rez it there to see what it was.

Ha! I have no idea why I didn't think about a script-free area... must have been the late hour and the annoyance with not being able to play on SL the few hours I have net on the weekends. I'll try right around lunch time (an hour from now, where I'm at) and post my findings here

So, I opened it (at newcomb sandbox), and it was a flag with a notecard that talked about a pagan dance followed by live sex, and something simply labled 'script' that said I wasn't allowed to view the contents. So still donno... ah well.

At least I get free live pagan goddess s3x0rz!!!!11 out of it... (not to offend any pagans out there, but... squicky... o.O)
