mmm no Sensual, I saw 6590 two days ago, (6339 now )and it may have been higher than that before, so... i think we're still waiting to break the online record.

I think it's somewhere 6600-6700ish though.

And yeah, the log-a-thons i think were 4500 or 5000 if i'm not mistaken.

The daily peak on weekdays appears to be 8-9 PST, which is starting right now, so we should see a peak in the next hour in probably about that range.

My curiosity: how many people can actually be on SL at a given time? #of sims x #of avis each sim can hold = ?

/me steps to the sidelines to allow the folks with the facts and figures to do the calculations!

If each sim were maxed out at 40 per, you'd be looking at greater than 35,000 online at the same time.

I don't think that's realistically possible though.

With 40 residents in every sim - evenly distributed - there is room for some 50,000+ residents. A ore realistic number, counting in for uneven distribution, would be 10,000.

Inworld population is usually more than 6,000 in the evening hours (SL time) these days, with peaks in the 6,400 range. A good source for peak info is here.
