It's been two weeks since I've put land for sale at the going rate of the sim I'm in. I don't understand it. The last few times I sold land, the procedure took less than two days. It's a nice, green area with average performance. There are no terribly ugly builds or 16m2 plots in site. Sure, the land is between a market place and a sex club, but the stores seem well managed, with no lag inducers. The club is mostly pose balls behind closed doors, without the particles, scripts, or lighting effects. I've never seen more than four avatars there ... ever. The going rate for land in my sim has dropped more than a grand, so the land isn't really expensive, either. Where're all the buyers? Waaah!

That's a good question. The current mainland auctions don't have any bidders either. The map seems to become a little more yellow and purple every day.

From: Khamon Fate The map seems to become a little more yellow and purple every day. Can I ask you Khamon...how do you see the purple and yellow colours for land sales and auctions? all I get is $ signs where land is for sale. Is there some option somewhere that I have missed? Edit: Ignore that.. I worked it out...it shows when you zoom in and disappears when you zoom out

Has that upcoming big bunch of land depressed the price of existing land?
When is that big lot bidding starting, or is it already done?

Ya know, I have a pretty low end computer to be playing around in Second Life. I don't even have a proper videocard -- just an embedded intel bit of nonsense. In the best sims, with no one else around, I will get an absolute max local fps of 5. Asside from shopping excursions, I've never had severe texture problems. The only time I've ever had an alignment problem is due to embarressingly bad math. I wish I understood why people with better equipment have worse experiences on SL than me....
