Any way of turning them off? They are really bugging me, causing things to happen when im trying to have a conversation, that are really annoying.

Which keyboard shortcuts?
I know from personal experience that the Iolo Macro Magic keyboard macro program does not work with SL, unfortunately. Perhaps someone knows of a keyboard macro program that does work with SL, and could be used to intercept the undesired SL keyboard shortcuts. _____________________

I just went to the website for AutoHotKeys, a keyboard macro program that I think someone mentioned in these forums not too long ago.
This lets you do a lot of stuff, I have just installed it and just tried to see if it would run without causing SL to crash, which it did, and if I could redefine the Control-F keystroke combination to do nothing. This involved adding CODE ^f::to AutoHotKey's ini file. Lo and behold it worked, with this line, AutoHotKey intercepts the Control F and tells it do nothing. This would interfere with using Control F to find something in notepad, or any other program, while AutoHotKey was running with this activated; there should be a way around this, but I haven't got it working. Perhaps someone who has spent more than ten minutes with AutoHotKey can help more. _____________________

Got it.
This added to the AutoHotKey ini file disables the Control F combination for Second Life but passes it on to other programs. CODE $^F:: Similar code would be written for each keystroke one wants to disable in Second Life. AutoHotKey is free, available at www.autohotkey.com One could also use it to redefine keys for use in Second Life; for example, Control Alt Shift W could be made to emit "secondlife.com/badgeo" for when someone asks the url of the LSL wiki. _____________________
