Dragging objects into objects you're already wearing?

Okie-dokie... I have NO idea where to post this question, so this seemed a good place...

When I get a script, I've been tossing them in my av's tail (as in, clicking to edit, and dragging the script into the contents section), as it seems as good a place as any since I'm usually wearing it, so can use the script easily at any time... but I haven't gotten a new script in a few weeks.

So today, I purchased a script from someone, went to drag it into my tail... nothing. So I tried to drag it into my wings... nothing. So I tried to drag it into an invisible cube I was wearing on my hand.. nothing... finally, I created a box on the ground and tried putting it in there - went in fine.

So I made a copy of the tail and rezzed it on the ground, and I was able to drag stuff into it. I put the copy on, went to drag stuff in again... nothing.

So, what should be happening here? SHOULD I be able to drag stuff into an object being worn, or was there some kinda of fluke going on before? Am I missing a step here? Am I just plain crazy and I was never actually dropping any of those scripts into my tail while wearing it? What?

Thanks!

Are you trying to stuff scripts into your tail?? XD

...

I usually drop items to the ground before putting stuff in it, Ill check about that, but it might be something with the asset server, are you using the edit selected object set on?

To answer the questions: Yes, I'm stuffing scripts into my tail, and I'm right-clicking, hitting 'edit' on the pie chart, then going to the 'contents' tab.

To be silly: "asset" server. Hee. Funny.

Get it? Tail? Bleh. Anyway, yah.

I tested that, and yes you can drag stuff while editing an object that you are wearing however, everytime you drop something you'll have to wait the object save the information in the asset server, so depending on the server load, it might take a few seconds everytime you drop something. You can also drop multiple items.

If it's not full permissions, you'll have to drop your tail on the ground, and then add it. PITA, isn't it? :)

Ya... that's what I thought too... but it still won't do it... but ONLY when editing items I'm also wearing. I was waiting quite some time earlier to see if it would do it... and I never even got a thing (you know, like when the cursor turns into a white box, sometimes with a plus on it?) saying I could even drop it in there. Very weird :| Does the asset server do something different for stuff you have on, or anything?

Well, that's what I thought too, except I was able to do it before. I have all perms except transfer on the stuff I was wearing.

And, when I created a box will full perms and put it on, I STILL wasn't able to put stuff in it until I dropped it on the ground again.

Yes it has a load of tricks many of them includes poofing with your items, other just makes your stuff to disappear leaving no trace.

Meaning, the asset server takes a beating, loses crap and you'll be lucky to find it, in your tail or inventory.

Now, I was never able to drag stuff into worn stuff.. maybe the asset server just hates me more?
