I was wondering, how can I fire a gun?
I have my Popygun and another Gun called a Sentinel Dummy, I fire my Popygun by going into mouselook and left clicking, why doesnt this work on a my other gun? Do different guns have different controls?
Thanks.

Yes, Floyd (nice name, very psychadelic). Second Life is a Resident-created world. Likely, your guns are made by different creators. In your Inventory, you can right-click a gun and select Properties and see the creator. Contact specific creators for help with their weapons. Or there may be a help notecard included too, it varies. Moving this to General Topics.

Yes, it depends on how a gun is scripted, or even if it IS scripted. On the one hand, I could make a block prim, an invisible prim, a teddy bear, a lollipop or a piece of jewelry and have any of those fire giant cannonballs, regardless of the cannonballs being larger than the firing object. On the other, I could make a big, intimidating cannon of a gun that just looks like it's bristling with deadliness and yet does absolutely nothing. Or maybe fires harmless, non-pushing and non-damaging pink hearts. The model is just show. The scripting inside is the key to everything as far as what it actually "does," no matter what the object looks like. I remember reading about a rifle for lazy hunters that fired dead animals rather than bullets.

It's likely the gun might be made not to function in safe zones?

From: Angelique LaFollette Then alex, there is your Gun that Fires Pornographic Furry Magazines, and Marital aids, That one is good for a Giggle. Angel. Ohhh, yes, those guns. The great thing is that you can load basically anything, within a certain prim limit, as "ammo."
