Second Life tour guides

Do you think you know Second Life better than anyone? Interesting off-the-beaten-path locations, beautiful landscapes, cool communities, unusal uses of the world and fun experiences? I am looking for residents to help take the press on guided tours of SL and would love your help.

If you think you'd like to give it a shot, please send me an email with your top 10 favorite places in Second Life, how long you've been in-world, what you like to do in-world and your contact info.

If I see a good fit, I'll get in touch and discuss the opportunity with you.

Thanks!

Catherine

P.S. Please email me at catherine@lindenlab.com

James Miller should just give Tours 24/7 FOREVER!

I think its a neat idea though.

I've also always liked the idea of Teleport Tours, clicking signs to go from one place to another. :|

..And if you turn to your left, you'll see a fine example of the Second Life porn industry. The group standing to your right are a group of 'escorts' offering their services. On the way back, we'll give you a chance to stop here and have some fun, but for now, we'll go... oh. Apparently we won't, since this entire area is set to disallow entry. We'll just take a bit of a detour via the next sim, shall we? Ok. Let's just wait here for a few short minutes for it to rez in and I'll tell you all about this area... uhh, ladies and gentlemen, please don't be alarmed, that was what is commonly known as 'griefing' and is a daily occurrence here in Second Life that you'll learn to live with. Sorry, yes? Oh, right. Yes, your avatar will crumple at these altitudes. We were all 'orbited'. The negative position values? Ah yes. You see, we'll all need to relog now because we're 'offworld'. And frankly it's quicker than waiting to land anyway. So if you could all relog now and reconvene where we left off, we'll continue the tour!

Kris may be sarcastic, but she's much closer to the truth than even she believes.

Yes all the Darker instincts come out first whenever there is a new frontier and as always it is up to the women to civilize the new west. Until we insist on a standard of civility there will be none. I agree that there should always be wild areas but that should not be forced on anyone!

OK, I know this is going to sound terribly mercenary of me, but is this a paying position? Or are the Lindens asking for volunteers to sell their product/show it in a good light for fun?

I love such posts. Is your blog the same? You just found a new reader. I think to deal with all these... hmm... little insufficiencies in general and also all the... hmm... various ways of living is only possible with flexible humour...

No money involved, but you do get to be an honorary FIC.
