You know what I liked about MUCKs?

When you admin-level delete characters (or "toaded" as it was called -- don't ask), the actual database reference could be saved. In other words, you didn't actually have to remove their object from the database. You simply turned the "character" into an ordinary object that existed in the MUCK world.

So you could turn their ex-character into a paperweight to leave on your VR desk as a reminder...

IIRC, the cornfield is only used for 'white collar' crimes.
The knowledge will spread faster than LL can delete/restrict topics. I think once enough people know how to do it, LL's only possible response will be to log all non-Lindens off the grid.

The moderation of the last few hours was done by a Linden. It seems there is little tolerance for posting exploits (I beleive doing so is a TOS violation; like section 4.1.iv or there abouts; extortion is also generaly illegal, ammusingly enough, also a TOS violation).

Yes, it would certainly help if people refrained from re-posting the steps required to reproduce this bug, and stop posting mountains of threads about the subject, instead adding their thoughts (if they have anything new) to an existing thread.

Other subjects are disappearing down and off the page, simply because people don't understand basic forum etiquette of "look for an existing thread on the same subject before starting a new one".

That happens on all forums. People are either too lazy to search for what they want with the (OMG we have one of these) Search pulldown at the top or they don't know its there.
