Name change??

Is there anyway to change my name? Ok there isn't?? Ever since I first signed up I really didn't like my name and when I did sign up, It never occured to me that I wouldn't be able to change it.
So I can't change my name, how about using an ALT. I also use an Avartar with the name I prefer (Marci Summers) , but its under a basic account now. Thats the name I would like to use.
What can I do???
I need to deal with the store, land, and all of the rentals out there. I can transfer everthing over I sell to the other account except the JEVN, Prefab store, pavillion I bought, and maybe a few other essentials. Oh and all of the things that would need to be transfered, I don't even want to think about it.
I just need a better sounding name and I'm getting a headache thinking about it. It just sounds like a mess to deal with and I think I'm stuck.

LL doesnt change account names - but you could sign up a extra account as you mentioned. Transferring over is definetely going to be tough - but at the same time, you dont need to suddenly delete your old main either.

They did do a name change for the "Skinhead" guy. So it's totally possible for them to do name changes. Nothing AFAIK is linked to our names, everything is linked to the user's UUID/key.

It's possible to do - but LL has a policy of not doing it - 'rude' names are the exception.

I find "mcreeb" highly offensive.

Transferring everything to another account, hmmm that'll take like a week straight to do and many headaches. I don't even know what I'll run into.

Perhaps I'm just stuck as is.

That's all I had the last time I checked my (very, very evil) name/key database. Some of them give me a really good laugh - and some of the names they were changed TO also give me a good laugh (Booty Rosebud? LeGrand Pole?).
