Since I don't know any of the others, I vote for eBay.

- It's annoying and gaudy (for the most part) and overly full of tasteless people selling tasteless junk for inflated prices. :)

- the "rating system" is positive only, which is to say no rating system at all. :rolleyes:

- user feedback goes through a long tortuous complicated process that eventually does nothing at all. :D

The only thing missing is the never-ending blinking animated advertisements in your peripheral vision, but then...

HTML on a prim is coming!

OK - eBay, I take it everyone knows. Online auction thingy where people are mostly there to sell shit.
Newgrounds is a website where people post their flash movies, but it's mostly shallow crap and there is no community feel to it.
deviantART seems to be more artsy and have a better community feel - sorta like be...fore SL hit version 1.2!
ebaumsworld is a very popular website that basically steals content from everywhere and uses it to sell ads :)

You could add Renderosity, as most of the content from there ends up in SL in one way or another.

That's funny, I'm friends in RL with Tom Fulp who created Newgrounds. He's a twisted guy. Then again, most of us from Philadelphia are! The FDA group is pretty nutty too. :)

None of the above. Any wiki site (like the LSL Wiki) is most like SL since it's user-created content.

But wikis are something that everyone can edit. You can't edit other people's objects in SL, and I've yet to see a wiki being used to sell commercial content...

You can if they have the right permissions, just like the LSL Wiki has access control lists (ACLs) that restrict who can edit, comment on, or even view(!) a page.
