Ok, so I just got off of Tutorial Island and the help island. And i'm knida lost. I started in a big City. Not sure where, and I have a few questions
1. Can I get land if i'm not a paying member? 2. What are the benefits of a member? 3. With itemaking, I noticed its kinda hard and not alot of chooses. Is there more in the payed version? 4. How do you animate objects?
Thanks

You can ususally find what sim you're in from the toolbar up top. From: Turtleky Taiko 1. Can I get land if i'm not a paying member?
You can't own land directly from Linden Lab without becoming a paying or "premium" account. But you can rent it from other members for a fee of either US$ or L$ From: Turtleky Taiko 2. What are the benefits of a member?
If you go premium you get 512sq m land tier, and an L$400 a week stipend. From: Turtleky Taiko 3. With itemaking, I noticed its kinda hard and not alot of chooses. Is there more in the payed version?
I'm not quite sure what you mean here. But its very unlikely you get more from it when you pay. From: Turtleky Taiko 4. How do you animate objects?
Usually using the scripting language LSL, might wanna give the lsl wiki a look. From: Turtleky Taiko Thanks
Not a problem! Zap

Thanks Hi Turtleky, welcome to Second Life! It sounds like you may have started off at the Nova Albion Infohub in the big city region of Miramare. I am part of a group (City Slickers) that takes care of that hub. I'm really glad you posted here. The Nova Albion hub isn't very friendly to new residents yet and that's something we'll be working on. Some of the other hubs have made it a point to be very newbie friendly from what I've read on the forums here, especially the Warmouth & Ross Infohubs. I will make a point to go visit those and try and learn how we can make the Nova Albion hub more useful. If you have any ideas in particular that we could apply to the big city hub to make it more helpful, please post them here or IM me inworld. I'd appreciate your perspective. Thanks! Salazar Jack
