Shopping Frustration

As a consumer in both the RL and in SL ... one of the most frustrating things in it is waiting. Many of you have come up with wonderful idea to pay people to well (pardon the expression) SQUAT. It is truly frustrating going to a place on a popular list and you can't get things to rezz because you KEEP it POPULAR by paying people to frequent your place.
Many places I have shopped and many of my friends also we have quit going to because we can't stand the wait time to wait for ever to see things rezz. Vendors take for ever to rezz and now even your single prim pictures take forever. To be honest, in some of those sims they don't rezz.
In the end if I was to have a vendor in many of those sims I wouldn't do it as that because I know as a consumer I walk away from it.
I no longer see the point in paying people to squat as soon the lindens are pulling that pay totally. So many blame the lindens for the lag issues but to pay people to squat seems a bit pointless and needless. After all ... do you pay ever panhandler on the streets in your cities?

I agree, and I have made it apoint not to shop in those areas... I just don't have the patience for it.. I have even at times, I owned the designers saying, something like, let me know when you have another store location cus I cant see your products in that laggy sim/mall... often times the designers arent aware they lose customers this way

My store may not have huge traffic numbers, but at least when people are there, they are there to shop. I prefer to find smaller less laggy places when I shop, I just dont have the time to be standing around looking at all the pretty gray blobs.

you have to love the grey blobs... I can embrace the lag but that wonderful coloring leaves a bit to be desired
