Rollback loses

I'm presuming this is what it is, but everything I'd spent the last couple of hours building prior to the abrupt grid closure has been lost, even progress saves that I made are gone from my inventory. Has anyone else suffered this?
I know some merchants in the game who will be especially pleased about this, some of which are already looking to downgrade their tier after changes made in previous updates which have affected their sales, so this is not looking promissing at all.

I wasn't on this time, but the last time I was concerned because I had just made a purchase when the grid went down, and when I came back on, the item wasn't in my inventory and my balance hadn't changed, so there was a definite rollback. This was good for me, but not for people who had been building, obviously. I remember someone else was screwed because of a big $$ land deal that the rollback screwed up, anyone know if that guy got his lindens back?
