...when someones profile is no longer listed in search? I haven't heard from one of my friends in a couple of weeks. She is still on my buddy list, and I can bring her profile up from there. But when I do a search for her name it does not come up. Does this mean she has cancelled her account, or could it mean something else? Thanks in advance.  |

Probably cancelled the account or got suspended. your info including profile, inventory, etc stays on teh servers for 90 days after you cancel. Also might've been moved to the teen grid.

Someone I knew cancelled her account and made a new one, though she told me she was doing it. Her card stayed in my inventory but search brought up nothing on her too.

If they are not in "Search" that means their account is no longer active, either through suspension, or cancellation. I have several people in my Friends list, who have been long out of game. I keep the Profiles for sentimental reasons.

The above answers are ideally true; however, I've been unable to retrieve profiles in FIND that have displayed when examining object ownership. A few days later, they appear in FIND again.
On occassion, I've been unable to locate given profiles in any way; then, out of the blue, they appear again.
There's a bug in there somewhere active enough to not just assume that an account is cancelled because a profile is not forthcoming.
