SL User Interest Survey

I've created this small survey to get a sense of what drives people to flock to SL. If the number of responses is high enough I will be able to extract some general conclusions and incorporate these into the thesis accompanying my graduation project.

2. What was the primary reason why you joined SL?
3. What is/are your main interests in SL now?
4. Do you own a plot of virtual land?
a. If yes, what do you do use that land for?
5. Where do you hang out most regularly?

Technical Skills
6. Did you learn any building/scripting in SL?
a. How did you learn those skills (self-taught, tutor, classes)?
b. How would you rank your skill level (novice, intermediate, master)? Please give examples if you have any.
7. Did you have 3D building experience prior to SL?
a. If yes, which tools did you use?
8. Did you have scripting experience prior to SL?
a. If yes, which tools did you use?

Social Skills
9. How many people are in your Friends list?
10. How many other residents are you in close contact with? (Meeting at least once a week.)
11. Are you part of any Group in SL?
a. How did you join those Groups?
b. How active are you in those Groups?
c. What is your role in those groups (member, organizer, leader)?
