My search for a 3 monitor solution continues. I've got 3 monitors and I'm trying to span SL across all 3 of them. Right now, I'm running an NForce4 PCIex mobo with one PCIex graphics card and a second PCI graphics card. I can span SL across 2 monitors, but not all 3, with this setup.
I just tried the Colorgraphic Xentera GT4 quad PCIex card. The card has 4 DVI monitor outputs, but the card disables hardware acceleration when spanning monitors. According to the manufacturer, the card is geared toward business users, not gamers.
Is anyone running SL across more than 2 monitors? What type of rig are you using to do it?

Paulie, sorry I can't answer your question, but I do have a question for you. Out of curiosity, what kind of performance are you getting with SL on 2 monitors? I use dual monitors myself, and pre-1.8 I had no troubles with SL spread across both. I found it very useful to keep SL covering about a monitor and a half, so that I could keep the inventory window, editor, mini map, stats bar, etc on one while having a clear, unobstructed view of the world on the the other. Since 1.8, however, my FPS drops to 5 or below every if the SL window overlaps more than one monitor by so much as a pixel. Consequently, I've had to drop down to using SL just on one screen. I posted about this a while back, but never got a response.
I'm running an nVidia QuadroFX 3000, 256MB dual DVI output to two Samsung SyncMaster 191 19" fla panels if you're wondering.

This link might be of some use. Three Monitors If my memory serves me correctly Lordfly D. posted a good while back about a three screen display system, very pricey, but it might do want you want.

I'm also running Samsung SyncMasters (two 213T and one 214T.) I love those monitors. I haven't seen any drop in performance across em since 1.8.

I'm using ULTRAMON (it has some neat features) and DUALVIEW. I still haven't been able to enable SURROUND GAMING (gaming across 3 monitors.) The Nvidia drivers just don't seem to support it. Otoh, this guy seems to have done it by using only 1 output from each video card. Maybe I need to try with 3 video cards instead of just the 2 i'm using now: http://www.realtimesoft.com/multimon/gallery_browse.asp?ID=624&date=desc&nummon=false&mon=desc

Step 1) Wait for Linux client to be a little more polished Step 2) Rob a Fry's or Circuit City, with a flatbed truck. Step 3) #@$@#$! ROCK ON!

I think this is the sort of thing I am remembering having seen mentioned here in these forums before. If this presents one display canvas that SL and Open GL would have no problem with it would be the perfect way for those with the cash to have there worldview in the middle screen, their scripting window on the right, and the IM and inventory on the left, or whatever. I don't guess there is a video card with three outputs, like there are with two? Or, my card has an analog output, a digital output, and a TV output. I don't guess one can get a TV to monitor converter and get the software to spread the picture out on all three outputs? I know that can't be true because that would be something I could afford.

I'm hobbling by on a 19-inch CRT; a two monitor display would be heavensent. Hell, even an LCD would suffice.
