The past couple of weeks, my average access speed to the SL forums has best been described as slow. Often it's been terminally slow even to the point of returning database error pages. During all these times I've been able to resolve and download pages from other sites, even new ones, at reasonable rates.
Has anybody else noticed this or do my machines just have a abject hatred of this particular site?

Try to push a large amount of BS through one pipe and you're going to get a clog. ;P |

Same with me. Sometimes I open 3 or 4 threads at a time then go surf somewhere else while waiting for them to load. It's like something gets blocked and when it clears, they all load quickly.

But like Corvus said, it's usually at it's worst when there's just been a lot of hate built up. We need some new punching bag scripts in SL, ones that automatically change to the person you hate most at that point. Or.. how about an Ignore Threads started by this user button, instead of just an "ignore posts by." Voila, more forum for half the drama and BS. _____________________

Posting to the forums or even reading them anymore reminds me of when I was on a 14.4 baud dial up modem. Click Forums - go scan other webites, get snack, take a piss- Click on New Posts - move to France, have a liver transplant, take a really long piss - Scan new post titles Click on interesting post or open new window - if you look to the right you will the Grand Canyon, if you look to the left you will see what is on the left of the grand canyon- Read posts, go to next page - start writing the great american novel - Post reply to thread - finish the great american novel_ Lather,wash, rinse, repeat. _____________________
