search

i have just started sl and when i click the search bar nothing happens?
i want it to work or i cannot get around.
i have tryed alot of things and nothing, any help would be welcome

It would help if we knew if it was in game or here in the forums. If it's in game and you are looking up something that is 'mature' in nature, then you'll want to check the box that says, display mature content. If it's a person and you want to see if they are online or not, you'll need to uncheck the online box. If what you are looking for is of two letters, it's not going to work. The in game search engine requires 3 or more letters.

If it's the forums you are trying to search.. beats me, I gave up on the stupid thing.

Did you do a total reinstall or delete the files I don't remmeber the names, after last update like the lindens said if you have some problems?

if not maybe try it like a total clean install after uninstalling it could possably help. not totaly sure

Possibly you need to select a category, when you click search do you get the large menu box with the different tabs ?

Then you pick the tab you wish to search: events, people etc.

Be sure as previously suggested you go in and check mature in events and I believe places and uncheck online under people.
