They're disabled log ins temporarily due to some "gridwide funkyness" - better to get it right.  Join #secondlife on IRC (efnet) for more details! -Flip

Glad someone put that up here, but that is rather annoying, with these forums and thier website someone should not have to log into an additional IRC channel just to get updated news. I check the website it says grid up i check the forum same atleast from lindens side then can't log in. Now i need to D/L an IRC program and check that aswell?! err

The IRC channel isn't official by any means, it's just somewhere, open to everyone, that's handy for instant communication when SL is off-line.

LL needs to start paying for beta testers instead of using the members of SL as the beta testers.
They want people to upgrade acounts yet they can't be bothered to make the game up and running? Yesterday I have several conversations with the subject of "what will LL break this time."

They barely use the beta testers that provide free input, why would they want to pay any? Everyone I met on the preview grid said it was buggy and slow. When I go to an empty preview sandbox and have good FPS, bandwidth, dialation and other measurements, yet I STILL freeze, stutter and jerk, I know it will be a delight to participate in when it is released. </sarcasm> I wish they would just tell us what GPU's they use on their in-house PC's that make them think they are releasing a finished product. It would save me so much aggravation (and money). |

Oh well, an hour and a half soaking in the bath later and it's still not up. So, that's today in SL just about wiped then, what with an update and the update breaking.
Not fun, I was really getting into this terraforming with RAW files thing before the update too.
Time for a big drink and an early night I suppose.
