LOL... I just realized I've been on the SL forums for over an hour listening to the rants and raves and having a good ol time. And in SL I was logged off due to inactivity.
Intellectual drama is good fun to me....
Now, I'm just waiting for LL to start charging to view some of the forums

That will be an extra five dollars a month to view the GENERAL TOPICS, another five to view the LAND AND ECONOMY section, ect ect. But for 1200 down and 195 a month you can view THE WHOLE THING

I also enjoy the forums. People I know tell me that they're all negative and too much drama. While this is true, there are good things that come from them, like people helping each other. I love the forums and enjoy posting! I'm always curious as to what the forum lurkers think of the forums though.

The forums are primarily the users helping users support forums for a software and networking company.
A forum or chat room formatted to fit in the in-client browser would be interesting. It would be neat to be able to drag snapshots from your inventory into the text entry field in a chat or forum made to work and fit in the mozilla browser. Or maybe give someone an item by dragging in to their name on their post.

I'm a hopeless addict of forums, myself, one after the other. I also find communication in SL difficult, because of lag, and just the inability to see more than a few words of what you are typing.

I'll agree, I am usually idled out while reading the forums. Oddly enough, I learn things reading even the most drama filled ones! It's highly addictive, and really explosive... Sounds like I'm describing meth, so I probably should stop now...

From: Io Zeno t the inability to see more than a few words of what you are typing. Dear god yes, the one line text entry - major rotteness. I downloaded ActiveWorlds last night. It has some dockable toolbars and the chat area is dockable and adjustable in size. Being able to save your chat would be nice too, especially when you are are trying to work on a project with others.
