Having almost caught up on lost sleep and taken the time to look at the final tally I would like to now take a few minutes to express my sincere gratitude to all who made this year’s Relay for Life such an amazing success.

The generosity of the SL Community is overwhelming! Over $40,000 was raised to help fight cancer!

Firstly I have to thank my team – d’Alliez Estates – T1Radio! I have always said the people who come to our clubs in Rue d’Alliez are the finest in all of Second Life and once again you have proven that beyond question! We got a late start, having spent all of June on our 1st Anniversary celebration yet you managed to find it in your hearts to help us raise nearly $L600,000! Thank You All.

Nuala Maracas.. there are not enough words to express how I feel. You stand beside me, support me when I'm stressed, pick up all the little things that fall through the cracks, keep me focused and pull me back to earth when I start flying a wee bit too high! The work you did with the graphics and the build of “Relay d’Alliez" was outstanding and our campsite will long be remembered for all the work you did!

Our Sponsors.. Alyssa Bijoux, Darcy Rutledge, Swaffette Firefly and VC Designs… your contributions made our fund raising efforts that much easier. Aly’s hats, Darcy’s ribbons and the formal wear donated by SF & VC were a huge hit. I was especially touched when all the participants in the Survivors Lap wore a Purple Alyssa Bijoux Cowboy hat as we walked together to open the Relay!

I’d also like to express my personal gratitude to Jade Lily, Fayandria Foley, Tayzia Abattoir, RC Mars, Spin Martin and the all the others who put this event together. The builds were beyond belief and the entire event will remain one of the most memorable in all of Second Life.

************

I would like to add a special thanks to Jade for giving me the opportunity to provide the audio stream to RFL on Sunday. After a long night without sleep the chance to “Rock the Relay” gave me a fresh burst of energy that kept me going well into Sunday Night!

Even though I am an unverified account, I found time away from griefing to participate in the RFL events. :D

The silent auction was amazing. I couldn't believe the sheer number of one-of-a-kinds up for bids. The two Dominus Shadows, Ginny Talamasca's beautiful dress (I wanted it so bad), private building sessions, full permissions animations... wow, so much! I had such a wonderful time and I'm sure everyone else did as well.

As I was running my laps I enjoyed all of the wonderful creations the RFL teams had worked on. The builds were gorgeous! The millennium wheel and the Eiffel tower made my jaw drop, literally. The artists renditions of each country were spot on. My personal favorites were India and the Taj Mahal, Mexico and Japan.

Thank you Trader1 Whiplash and the d' Alliez T1 Radio team. You made sure we had the tunes kickin' and what a great job you did! Seemed like the entire d' Alliez island nations were there in force to support this wonderful event. Awesome!

Thank you Jade Lily and the build teams for your efforts in making this such a huge success.

This was an event I will never forget. I'm so glad I had the chance to participate.
