I downloaded the game today and i am overwhelmed. I just dont know what to do. Can anyone provide some ideas on how to ease into the second life world? I wanna learn how to build and script but right now im so confused and i need money. Anyone who could give some help please do i really would aprreciate it.

Go to The Shelter or New Citizens Plaza and Yadni's Junkyard for some free stuff. Look through forums for help with scripting, clothing creation and other stuff. Ask around.

Best way to learn building in SL is to drop by the Ivory Tower of Primatives. Their tutorials get daily praise of wonderment I hear.
I might also suggest doing a search in the Groups tab for groups that may share RL interests you have. Getting involved with a few groups can really help you get your feet wet.

Pull up Search and type a name in the Places tab. Then hit the Teleport button.
EDIT: I dropped you a land mark for New Citizens Plaza

There's plenty to do in SL without money, especially if your interests are building and scripting.
If you are still on Help Island, you can ask the mentors there for help.
I have given you a bunch of free stuff. One of the folders has free textures in boxes, these are useful when you start building.
I have invited you into the New Citizen's group, and given you the NCI welcome pack, which has a landmark in it you can use to teleport to the group's headquarters.
I have given you a landmark to the Shelter, which is a good place for new folks to drop by and meet some poeple, pick up more free stuff, enjoy a game show, etc.
You can use the NCI group to ask questions in.
There are two groups I know of that are good for those who want to learn building and scripting: the Builders of Second Life and the Scripters of Second Life. Those are both open join groups, free; you will need to look them up in the Search dialog and click on Join.
