What is the point of these constant updates? All they ever do is add very small additions to Second Life that nobody ever really benefits from.

For example, changing "Find To Search". What was the point of that but to make the button look different?

Also, it seems that almost every time there is an update, even a small, pointless one, there are always problems that follow after. For example, the current update. It took about three hours to update, and then there is a problem, and it has already taken 3 hours in progress of fixing it!

I personally think that if there is no extremley important thing that will be included with an update, don't update, because it is only a waste of time and effort.

Allen, you picked 1 point out of all of them. Yes that one was not needed, but most other others were.

Plus you choose to play an online game, name one online game that does not update?

If you hate updates, then buy a boxed game, that required no internet access and your wish will come true, same game forever and ever and ever, it will never change.

I for one want updates, I love weekly updates, yes sometimes things go wrong, but I have other things to do while SL is down, don't like it down, but I can find other things.

I choose to play an online game that does change, that does add features, and change as technology does, I choose that, expect that, and want that.

they have to do minor updates

Why??

well it seems like ever since 1.6 something they use minor duct tape patches, after a few weeks of being rigged the system starts to die, and so if they dont have a reason to reboot you end up with obnoxiously slow everything (as experianced by most the past week) and finally system failure

if you were a lacky linden, would you rather tell king phil

"were doing a useability update"
or
"the system died due to horrible memory leaks and bad programing"

Or Play The Sims Online. They will promise you Updates, but they will never materialize, so you will be all safe, warm, and fuzzy in a world that never changes. Of course you will be Lonely there because just about everyone has left that game because it's BORING.

The choce is simple, Evolution, or Extinction.
LL, and MOST of the people Playing second life Chose Evolution.
