Ultimately, though, the games revolve around socialization, allowing people to meet and learn about each other in the context of creative play I think the writer meant "socializing" rather than "socialization", which gives it a whole other context altogether ![]() |

I love that love is found on line, and have since I wrote an article some 10 or 12 years ago about real-life marriages of people who met online.
Since then, I've known a number of people who have met online and married irl. And still are married! One of my favorite couples ever met this way, about ten years ago, and they have one of the best marriages going! (Krom and Gensi.) In TSO, I used to perform marriages. One was a Platist ceremony, and another was an R-rated ceremony. I also married an ant to a human, and an alien to a human, and I forget what all else. Bunches, anyway. Some of them quite serious and some totally for fun. (Yes, I wrote a raunchy ceremony.) One of these is my favorite couple ever. I have had the greatest hopes of rl romance for this particular couple of any online couple I have ever known, since I met them, which was relatively early in their relationship. Both were charming and funny, dry and droll, and unlike so many other TSO couples, they never drowned everyone else in ooey-gooey love talk or PDA's. That's how you KNEW they were a hot couple when they were alone. Cause they saved it for that. Last summer, the girl traveled from Europe to meet the guy in the U.S. Not long ago, they applied for an "alien fiance" visa. I'm so thrilled! I remember when the Internet was newer and everybody was horrified by the idea that people might actually meet each other on games or in chat rooms and wind up married irl. But it always seemed perfectly reasonable to me. I always said, why not? What's so much better about meeting somebody in a bar or wherever? coco _____________________

Ha ha Lecktor. I used to write porn, too - like those questions you see in the sex columns in men's magazines? I wrote the questions AND the answers. And kinky fantasy short stories. Those were fun.
It was good money, but not the most prestigious way of getting it. Also, I was single at the time, and I'd get myself all worked up at the typewriter no matter how I tried not to (you just about can't HELP it), and there wouldn't be a guy there to do anything about it. To all things, there is an appropriate place. In my opinion, the official forums to a game is not where I want to run into a bunch of fifth-grade boys, and it looks bad for the company. coco _____________________
