Okay. Unless you're rigging for higher payout, make the camping platforms into moving standing platforms that animate the sitter and detect collissions. As in, make it a shooting gallery! The campitars would react to shots, fall over, move around, etc, etc. Or.... Make them giant bowling pins! I can smell the awesome already!

huh. now that's an interesting idea. if you make your land a damage area, and you put out camping chairs, and people come by and blow away the campers -- is it AR-able?

An idea was posted some time ago that I've got in design and starting the scripting on. Basically it's this. Person sits on a poseball that fuctions as a camp chair. The poseball, uses physics and animations to turn the person into a zombie, make them walk as such, so on so on.

People get to come and shoot at them a la Resident Evil or other such survival horror games using non-lethal weapons. The poseballs would make the sleeping av act accordingly, so when they "die" the ball would drag them under the world, move them to a pre-defined location, then release them to have the fun all over again. ;)

For effect, I would give the people in the chairs a freebie zombie skin and tell they wearing it is a requirement. ;)

If I'm not actively participating in whatever's going on, I'm not going to sit ANYWHERE for the exchange-rate equivalent of six cents per hour. I have a bowl full of quarters that would last me a year in the camping chairs. Probably enough change in my couch to last a full week.

SL runs my computer at 100% CPU. This is wear and tear on equipment I will have to eventually replace. My computer and monitor use several hundred watts of power. I estimate that the money gained in a camping chair would be less or break even with the money I'm paying per hour to run the computer.

The money-chair sitters are already zombies...I saw a group of money chair zombies one time, and there was a person there who had been sitting for about seven hours.

Mine does too and I have a pretty kick arse system. But after I launch SL I go into task manager and set the priority of SL to low and it runs much lower.

What does this do? Does it make SL run better overall or the computer, so you can have more than one program up? Just curious on the toll these money chairs will do to my 'puter/SL since they're in a sim I frequent. :/

It doesnt make SL run better, it makes SL take up less processor time allowing other things to run better.
