Sure, most of the features in god mode do NOT work... But what about that ones that do? For example: Mapping anyone regardless if they're friend or not, AND (one of the worst ones I think) being able to see the actual stream link in About Land, not the ******, but the actual stream.

You could see the stream before just by opening up Debug console. Or checking your outgoing connections in general outside of SL itself. That's hardly new.

There's a program on SLEX you pay L$2500 for. It unlocks god mode (99% of the features do NOT work) but one that does is enables you to map anyone (by looking in their profile and hitting Show On Map)

some of this stuff simply can't be fixed: your client HAS to know the URL to grab a stream. And with the third-party clients being developed, stuff like that isn't going to get better.
Fortunately, some of these things ARE fixable, and LL will be plugging the holes, making for a more secure system overall. |

God Mode still allows locating people with the show on map option in the profile.

Last I heard, the location of players was also handed out when you exchanged IMs and a few other cases. While not part of God mode, I get the feeling that finding/hiding the location of people will be another battle.

If you have the God Mode patch actiavted you can simply type any avatar name into the Friend combo area like you would type in a region name. If they are online it will allow "Show Destination". While I have never used it (and only ran the God Mode once before realizing it didn't do anything for me and seemed to make the client unstable) I have described the procedure to others this way and been told it works.
