Has anyone else been seeing a lot of this the last few days?

We had a few fly into our Sim last night. I noticed I couldn't click on the particles so I kept moving until one of the ball prims finally hit me so I could file an abuse report.

Of course it was a resident that joined on March 16th.

Luckily I was able to get Coffee Linden there in time to see the chaos going on.

We have had a few friends tell us this has been happening a lot lately but I haven't seen much here on the forums about it.

Anyone know how far a person can be away to shoot these things?

In our sim it just caused black smoke and a few seconds of people saying WTF, but I noticed when they were hitting in our neighboring sim, Sesia, that messages were popping up about memory has been reached or something to that affect.

Are these smoke bombs created and sold for the non-safe, war type Sims?

Or they just made for the purpose of grieving?

I've never seen them before yesterday.

As far as purpose for creation, they were probably legitimate and purchased by an asshat. Griefers suffer from a lack of imagination, thus why they grief, and are by nature lazy. They want a cheap thrill. So they're not going to put any real work in on their own.

I've always felt that an act of griefing should not be responded to by LL with a ban, but instead a "flag". The flag would say that any act of griefing against the offender for the next x days will be ignored by LL.....discipline instead of punishment.

Punishment fit the crime. I love it!

Nothing lets your neighbor know how you feel about their encroachment like a sumogun shell rebounding down their halls.
