Online game to start using SL identities as contact info?

Okay, it's not breaking news as such since this is something I'm doing myself, but...

...basically an online game (browser based text-game with some pictures and stuff) that I'm currently nearing the end of phase 1 of development on is going to include forums I'm coding myself. What I'm planning to do is integrate contact information into user accounts, which you can make public if you wish (so that non-moderator users can contact you).

One of the pieces of contact info I'm planning to integrate as a default option is Second Life accounts! The current beta-testers for the game all have SL accounts and the idea just sort of hit me that it would be neat to add this option.
A bit of free publicity in a way, but at the same time an interesting way to contact other players of the game, might create a group for the game and buy a plot of land for meet-ups/events once the thing has reached phase 2 or 3 of development (phase 1 is basically public beta of the most basic aspects to get them tested thoroughly before proceeding).

So anyway, I thought I'd post to see if anyone has/is going to do the same thing on forums/web-sites elsewhere? I haven't yet tested adding SL quick-links to the pages, but I don't foresee any trouble as they seem simple enough.

I'll post again when the site goes live sometime after Christmas, if I'm allowed to post links that is?

You should probably ask permission first in the hotline.

"User-created content takes the idea of leveraging player opinions a step further by allowing them to effectively prototype new ideas and features. Developers can then measure which new concepts most improve the products and incorporate them into the game in future patches."

True, but I think LL would be crazy to say no. Which doesn't preclude it, but... :)

Sanity has never been a factor in LL's operations.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll ask nearer to the time then I guess. I'm hoping to have it done after Christmas, but then I originally intended for it to be on phase 3 LAST Christmas, heh.
