And I don't know how to get pictures from outside of SL into my profile on SL. Help :[

Easiest way is to place your picture that you want to upload on your desktop. Then in game under the file tab (Top Left) click it and the upload file. This will bring up a normal find box of your computer, go to desk top and click on your file that you want to upload. You are charged 10L and it goes to your in game texture file.

You can upload Bit maps, JPG's, or Targa files this way.

Welcome to Second Life, Ayana.

The File menu, at the top left of the screen, has as its top option "Upload Image", which will cost you ten lindens. This will let you pick an image from your local hard drive to upload onto the SL servers.

Once you get the image uploaded, it will be in your inventory, which you access by the Inventory button on the bottom right of the screen.

Drag the name of the image form where it appears in inventory onto where the profile image shoud be.

A magic fairy has given you a few lindens to start with.
