I have tried and for some reason can't seem to make a perfect circle prim. Is there anyone out there that can drop a circle on me...smile...I tried the cylinder but when I try to resize it goes out of shape...any hints. I want it to make a round rug, also would like one for an oval rug and an octagon rug. Both should be able to fit in a standard size room or if someone can tell me how to resize without distorting the circle...I will greatly appreicate any help.

If I am understanding what you are asking, you should try resizing by pulling on the WHITE corners of the resize box. That will resize all three axis proportionally. Of course this will make your rug THICK so you will have to resize the Z axis back down to a thin rug size. The alternative is to copy and past the same X and Y values into the numeric edit section of your cylinder.

Thanks Aimee, I thought I tried that but will try again tonight. I got pretty close but there were a few white edges...thank again....I guess for the oval and octagon it will have to be trial and error.....Waves at Aimee

People have been trying to make a perfect circle for centuries. It has been proven impossible even by the most advanced computers. I know what you actually meant, but I just thought I'd put that out there.

Another useful method is to use the Size X,Y,Z numbers in the Edit panel. Want a 2m circular rug? Set X and Y to 2.00 and Z to something thin like 0.02 by just typing the numbers in those fields! Easy as pie!
