I don't recall Cory saying that, only that the current lighting system would be dramatically improved. Even so, thanks for the link. Cool stuff.

I think this is a reasonable prediction.

GPUs are going to compete, and the area they can push into is dynamic rendering.

Hopefully this will come on line soon.

I think it might have been at the presentation to the Google peeps, in which case it would have either been him or Philip. It was a comment on how SL's graphics don't measure up to current games since they can't do the preprocessing that games can but that the industry was moving towards dynamically calculating all the graphics and they're basically just waiting for graphics systems to catch up. I saw this and immediatly thought of that.
