I don't know where to put this but I wanted to tell everyone about it cause once I got over the irritation aspect of it I'm sitting here laughing thinking WHAT in the world did I ever do to Linden Labs.
I have a vendor that sells animations, had it for a loooonnng time. Well when fast pay went in I put that in the script. One line of code no big deal, worked fine. Well recently I decided to start cataloging my sales from the SL transactions page and found vendors are a pain, so I'm using the llSetObjectName() so when someone buys something from a vendor it shows up on the transactions history as they paid into whatever they bought.
After that last crash (may have been like this before, the particular animation isn't heavily trafficked) the vendor decided to not give out the manlywalk animation. If I put this animations in anything named manlywalk it won't give it out LOLOL.. I can change the name of the animation and everything is o.k. fine again. I can drop any other animation in the vendor and name it manlywalk and it's fine, just not the one that has been in the vendor for over a year now probably.
If I take setobjectname out it works as well with the original animation. I even went so far as to make a cube named it manlywalk and tried to give the original manlywalk animation and it silently fails, no "can't find manlywalk" error or anything.
If someone could even figure out what I should say in a bug report I'll report it. I'm at a loss other than just putting in WTF..

Could the original animation file have gotten corrupted somehow? Have you tried uploading a new copy of the file and see if that fixes it? I'd think that would be a very key piece of info LL would want in your bug report.

The animation isn't corrupted. It still works.. I wound up renaming it and the vendor is o.k. with it's new name manwalk. LOL Re-uploading would probably fix it to, I put that free angry monkey dance in there and changed it to manlywalk and it would give that one out.. I hope I remember to take that back out, or people will wonder how I view men LOLOL..
I'm just sitting here looking at it like I'm a caveman and it's a spaceship. Anyone have a sharp pointy stick?

This is a known bug with llGiveInventory. Try this: move your avatar to a nearby sim, and alt-zoom to where you can pay the vendor, and see what results you get.
There are two options: re-rez your vendor, or get LL to restart the sim it is in. Alternately, you can rename your item.

I already asked them to restart the SIM aside from this weirdness the SIM is at over 20 ms script time so everything is slow, but the Linden that came out said nothing was wrong with the SIM and they couldn't restart a mainland SIM because of issues doing that.
He basically told me it was just my connection, so I logged and reset everything. SIM is still overloaded with scripts, but nothing I can do about it.
