The animation, yes, but not the sound. An AO can take care of that. But that takkatakkatak sound (the sometimes irritating part) can't be suppressed.
The closest you can get would be to either type all your lines starting with a slash, or build an attachment, name it after yourself, have it listen to you on channel 1 or something, and then type /1 words words words and have it repeat whatever you say.

I thought typing a forward slash before words would get rid of the typing sound.

Or just type /0 and have it get sent to public and skip all that relay stuff. Try it yourself.
