I was wondering the same thing. Not the kind of thing one can slip in their purse.

From: Mike Burleigh when i went offline they switched land to zero and bought my stupidity my fault for thinkin i can trust people Contact Linden Lab, matey. 800-860-6990. They'll take care of this if what you say is true. I released a full sim to the public long ago when drunk and trying to return a whole bunch of junk a griefer had left around. Bad move on my part, but the wonderful Lindens restore the sim to my ownership AND all of the builds with it since they were being auto-returned. I haven't done land management after beer since, and still owe CrowCatcher and Andrew Linden BIG TIME. Its too much money to just let something like this go. Regards, -Flip

Nice. Another land gets screwed by dishonest officers story.

try gettig the direct corp line off the LL website not the Sl site and talk to Robin Linden directly. Worst she can say is so sad to bad. But if I know LL if they CAN help they will. But you have to go past live help and customer service and talk to someone with authority. At least if she says no, you know you got a real no, not a csr rote reply

Similar things have happened to me (although not at quite at the same level). I never got anywhere and for the most part the reaction from LL was similar "So sad, but your SOL". I think we really need more options for this group thing since large amounts of $US rests in with the whole trust bit, but there is no option to "lock the land in". Perhaps the founder can select what rights Officers/Members have, and one could be removing the posibility of another officer to manipulate a plot of land's deeds (and perhaps also removing the vote bit to remove the founder).
I think at that large size of plot, I'd be looking into RW lawsuits.

I agree with Alondria, this group/officer land control thing is way to relaxed in the area of control.
I really think there needs to be a way to lock out specific officers from land management. Quite basically I think there should be an officer options section that a founder can set in the group window.
Like seperate sections for land terraforming, reselling of land, selling of deeded objects...etc and so on. To have every officer to have the ability to do everything is rather defeatest in the purpose of having a smoothly functioning group.
EDIT: Also in the land tools section for founders, it would be nice to have a selection that can be set that X amount of land or specific lands can never be taken out of group/resold etc...unless by the founder him/herself. END OF EDIT
As far as real life lawsuits....I fully think ANYONE that has something blatently stolen from them should pursue this option (especially in this case)
I remember hearing once that LL wanted the SL communtiy to "police itself at some point"
WELL THEN GIVE US THE TOOLS TO DO IT!!! and we will geez (officer control for the founder is part of that policing)

From: Stheno Sartre meaning behind this remark? Curiosity, wondering why an announcementslashnotice hasn't been moved to Notices and Well Wishes
