Hi Haramino Unfortunately you won't be able to get your answers here, with a poll on the forums. Most residents don't participate in the forums. And for those that do, must don't participate in polls. This will make your sample pretty skewed. I suggest you post your question in the Second Life Answers forum. I am sure that Torley will dig up some information for you. I do know that in general, Linden Lab is disappointed with the number of residents who try out the previews. I always give them a try, but I rarely see more than a few people logged in.

Now I only use it to 'test' fly planes and check out new clothes.

The few times I ever tried to download the preview client, it never worked on my system. My computer is marginal, at best, for running SL. A Mac Mini. Most of the unnecessary 'features' in new versions, like ripple water, local lighting, anything to do with sound... are all things I have to turn off anyway if I want to even be able to move. Or else they aren't even available to me, because my built-in, non-upgradable video card can't cope with the requirements. So really, about the only thing that trying Preview will do for me is to give me a heads-up that the next feature-bloated update will be the one that locks me out of SL forever, by raising the bar too high for my system. And since there is little chance anyone at LL will give a d**n about losing a few people with low-end systems, my thought is I would just as soon not see the bullet that will eventually have my name on it.

The only time I have ever bothered logging into the test sim was to check out the lights and flexi prims. Otherwise I don't usually bother, though I know it's important that we do so LL can find the bugs before the update goes live.
It's also a good way to try out products that you have been wondering about. Since every gets several thousand lindens to play with in the test grid, and since nothing there is permanent, vendors can put out their products at super low prices.
That way you can try them out risk free before really buying them in world. I think all of the major retailers in SL should do this, it would increase their in world sales.
