Rez the box.
Right click to get the pie menu.
Choose "open."
There are two buttons, "copy to inventory" and "wear." I think that's right. So pick one.
The old way was rt-click to "edit," go to contents and transfer to inventory.

Ok,, assuming this isn't a crate of Griefer Goodies,,
-Take the object from your Inventory, and place it on the ground (Drag and drop) -left click on the object, and choose "Open" from the Pie Menu -open your inventory, and from the create menu, choose "New Folder" -Rename the folder after the Object name -Drag and drop each of the objects from the "Open" menu to the new folder in your Inventory. (If the Open menu doesn't empty completely, don't delete it, it will be useful if you ever need spares) Now, any of the objects that were in the Box can now be used.
