When will it be up?

and is it totally down?

Right now the grid is closed to everyone but Lindens still. I just checked the grid status.

I'm presuming that this attack cause damage to the code given the time it's taken to remedy the situation. I would imagine it would be fairly easy to /select his name in-world and /delete his objects. I can't say for certain obviously but it does seem more severe than first thought.

However I realize I am becoming a board troll suddenly... I'm reading and responding far to much to be proud of myself.

So I will stop!

Yes, I've heard--I just posted in Announcements here.

I'm beginning to have withdrawal symptoms myself!

I know firsthand that many Lindens, right now, are working feverishly on getting the grid back up. There's tons going on that you might not be able to see, but please be assured a lot of damn hard work is going into this because we care about our Residents. I know I always have.

I promise to update when the grid is back up too.

It seems as though that "database" problem is still around. I've tried connecting both to SL and to the preview grid and not gotten any response from either, should have at least received a rejection notice. Do we know what the cause of it was? Surely it wasn't just a case of having too many people logged on, else it would have started happening gradually as the userbase grew recently.
