Hi....ummm welcome to second life.
If your wanting to earn money then the best way i guess would be in the skills trade, i.e. offering customers a service.. spend a few weeks getting to know SL and what is being offered, then spend the next year racking up ideas that aren't being done... thats what part im on lol |

Could you please guide me in the kind of servies I can do.
I have read about people getting 150,000$ , getting as much money as in profession roughle in a month's time. I want something similar, how did they do it? Right now I am ready to settle even for 5-10$/hr. |

I want something similar, how did they do it? Simple, make something really cool in-world that people are prepared to pay you $5-$10 an hour for. Or, come up with a service that people are prepared to pay you $5-$10 an hour for. Just like real life, the tricky parts are: figuring out what that thing/service is. And having the real-world talent to make that thing/service a (virtual) reality. There are no free rides to that kind of money, or everybody playing SL would be very rich indeed. Good luck ![]() |

I have read about people getting 150,000$ , getting as much money as in profession roughle in a month's time. You've misunderstood that, I think. The person in question earns US$150,000 a year (not a month), and was in Second Life for several years before they were able to do it. Right now I am ready to settle even for 5-10$/hr. Most worthwhile work in SL is not paid hourly. There are hourly paid jobs but they pay only a small amount and are usually done because people enjoy doing them. To make money you'll effectively have to start a business. It's a lot easier in SL than in RL, but you might need starting capital. You'll also do far better if you take some time out first to explore, find what people in the world want, and also practice and learn the "tricks" used to make things in SL. Good luck! |

Hi Arak! Welcome to Second Life!
I understand you've come here with the intention of making money. But it does take a lot of time. To build a reputation and a bussiness. More often than not, the people who stick around and end up making money are there ones who came to Second Life out of intrest, discovered their talents and used them. People who come looking to make money very often leave quickly when they realise its not easy. The best way to learn is to explore and try different things until you find something you enjoy. If you think you're good at it, try turning it into a bussiness and see how things go. Don't jump in head first. Hope this helped! Zap _____________________
