Can these come back into effect? I mean, I know that LL is not paying for the top vote getters, but why can't these vote boxes still be active? Perhaps once a week post a list of the vote getters? Or in world, in popular places, also have a list of the places that receive votes? any thoughts?

I don't think LL should put it together though. I think a 3rd party site should do this.

If LL did reactive the voting boxes though... we'd be able to see the REAL popular places, not just popular places based on traffic

While traffic isn't 100% accurate (it amuses me when empty stores have higher traffic than stores with goods for sale), but the boxes are even more easily gamed to get higher scores.

This would be kinda fun. I'd love to see little vote boxes around. They were out of commission by the time I started sl.

I miss hearing the trumpet fanfare that played when someone voted on one of those. You be wandering around the (much smaller at that time) grid and off in the distance you'd hear that distinctive "ta-da!" sound. You just knew an SL angel had gotten his or her prim wings.

Seriously this is the best cover up for flatulence I have ever heard.
