I never knew what this was:

PREFERENCES > NETWORK > PROXY SETTINGS

I would like to know what they are, and how they work or something, but most importantly, COULD THEY IMPROVE my SL maybe??

Thank you :)

Last I heard, they're more of a placeholder and aren't fully functional yet. I tried playing around with them and they didn't make that much of a difference. Anyone have any results?

General info on a "proxy".

Proxy settings are for use on networks that use a proxy to connect to the internet. If you don't know what a proxy is, chances are you don't have one on your home network :). No, getting one won't help your performance.

Thanks guys, I guess this will remain untouched, and I will continue my journey into the wishing/learning how to improve my damn SL. Haha!
